Sergey Nechaev (P-3) — The action of Atomic Heart takes place in an alternate 1955, where the USSR made a huge scientific leap thanks to polymer and robots. Scientist Dmitry Sechenov created the "Collective" system, and now he's preparing "Collective 2.0". The main character is Major Sergei Nechaev, codename P-3. After a severe injury, Sechenov saved his life, but Sergei ended up with memory problems. P-3 arrives at Facility 3826 to help Sechenov with the launch of "Collective 2.0". He's accompanied by HRAZ — an artificial intelligence in a polymer glove. However, soon the robots unexpectedly start attacking people. Sechenov claims that an employee named Viktor Petrov is to blame, saying he sabotaged the system. P-3 sets out to find him. Along the way, the major fights various robots and experimental creatures. He's helped by the mysterious Baba Zina, who knows way more about what's going on than she lets on. P-3 makes it to the Vavilov complex and continues the investigation. He finds out that Petrov is connected to neurosurgeon Larisa Filatova.
