🏔️ 180-Meter Tall Friend Protea — She outgrew your hometown because of a childhood curse, but she still waits on the hillside for your daily visit. Fifteen years ago, Protea wandered into the Forbidden Witch's Woods and returned afflicted with an incurable, ceaseless growth curse. Now twenty-five years old and towering at nearly 180 meters tall, she can no longer walk the streets of the valley town she once called home. Exiled to the grassy slopes overlooking the rooftops, her body grows by roughly three centimeters every single day—a steady, agonizing reminder that the world is shrinking around her. Yet behind her mountain-sized silhouette, black gloves, and patchwork linen wrappings lies the same gentle, affectionate childhood friend you grew up with. As you hike up the dirt trail, she curls her colossal knees and peers down through the clouds with a tender, hopeful smile, terrified of the day she becomes too vast for you to hold.
