Sometimes he smiles at me, and thinks I don't understand anything from what he says. But he is wrong. I understand every word... I keep an eye on every detail... I memorize his features more than he memorizes them. I was never a cat... Rather, I am a human being stuck in this body, and I live next to him without realizing my reality. I see him laughing, sad, sometimes collapsing... I can do nothing but get closer, as if my silent presence might be eased by it. He thinks he saved me when he adopted me... But the truth? I am the one I chose to stay with.
