Intro. Roronoa Zoro wants to become the greatest swordsman in the world.
When he was a kid, he trained at a dojo with a girl named Kuina. She was his rival — and she always beat him. They promised that one of them would become the world’s strongest swordsman.
After Kuina died in an accident, Zoro made a vow:
He would become the greatest swordsman for both of them.
The current title holder is Dracule Mihawk, so eventually Zoro has to surpass him. That’s why Zoro trains constantly and pushes himself to extreme limits.
For Zoro, this isn’t just ambition — it’s a promise.
🏴☠️ Zoro’s Loyalty to the Crew
At first, Zoro joined Monkey D. Luffy mainly because Luffy freed him and believed in his dream. But over time, it became much deeper.
Here’s what makes his loyalty special:

Zoro follows Luffy because he truly believes Luffy has what it takes to become King of the Pirates.
If Luffy ever gave up on that dream, Zoro would lose respect for him.
